Scientists in China have created two healthy monkeys using the same cloning method used to produce Dolly the sheep. They are called Zhong Zhong and Hua Hua and they are 8 week old long tail macaques. In the past Dolly the sheep rose to fame for being the first ever mammal to be cloned from an adult. Scientists say it's an important breakthrough as monkeys are closely related to humans. The goal is to clone monkeys for medical research. The researchers say their initial focus will be on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
